These are some of the reasons why people read.
These are also some of the reasons why people write.
Reading and writing go together.

When children read and write,
they learn and grow.

This is the introduction to LearningTips, a series of articles written by teachers and professors about helping children from birth to age 12 become good readers, writers, and students. These articles will share some ResearchBits along the way. They will not be "researchy;" they will always be practical. They will always focus on the factors that affect children's learning and achievement. They will also focus on helping children achieve the most meaningful learning in the most effective, interesting, fun, and time-efficient ways. Articles will enhance together-time for parents and enrich instruction-time for teachers. Articles will also suggest materials for the implementation of the ResearchBits, activities, and strategies presented.
